• What we collect: account details, company and contact information, financial documents, social media status and messages you send us.
• Why: to deliver the assessment you purchased, evaluate a potential acquisition or advisory engagement, and meet legal obligations. Lawful bases are contract, legitimate interests and legal obligation.
• Security: documents are held in private encrypted storage, accessed only through time-limited links by you and authorised OCTO staff. Access is logged. We never ask for bank passwords.
• Sharing: we do not share your information with buyers or third parties without your specific consent and an executed NDA.
• Retention: assessment records are retained for up to six years, then securely deleted. You may request access, correction or deletion at any time.
• Complaints: you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
